"This entire album is based on “The Hero’s Journey,” by Joseph Campbell. He studied fables and myths until he broke down a singular plot pattern most stories follow.  Each song on the album represents one of those plot points. Every story begins with a call to adventure. Lightning and Thunder is about finding out we were going to have our first child. Probably the biggest call to adventure I’m ever going to experience."
