Default 25th Anniversary

Default is a post-grunge rock band formed in Vancouver in the late 1990s. The group rose to prominence in 2001 with their breakout multi-platinum album The Fallout, which earned them a Juno win and was marked as one of the country’s standout rock releases of the early 2000s. The Fallout featured the hit single “Wasting My Time” which reached high positions on Canadian rock and pop charts and gained substantial airplay in the United States. Known for their melodic yet heavy sound, Default blended the introspective style of post-grunge with radio-friendly hooks, earning comparisons to bands like Nickelback, whose frontman Chad Kroeger co-wrote and produced on the album. Now 25 years later, Default is launching a 25th Anniversary vinyl edition of their debut album and undertaking a nationwide Anniversary tour next Fall.
