“Second Chance” was the first single from Canadian pop-rock band Faber Drive, released in 2007 off their debut album Seven Second Surgery. The song is about the regret and frustration of backing out of a relationship prematurely. The narrator looks back at a love they messed up realizing they didn’t open up or commit emotionally when they should have, and they put other things (like friends or pride) ahead of love, and now they’re facing the consequences and hoping to make amends before it’s too late and get a second chance. It was and still is a fan favourite song, so it is fitting for an acoustic version of that song to be the first single released off the anniversary record.
